CESENATICO has been for many centuries a maritime, fishing and commercial centre. Today the canal port is still the city's heart, where the boats of the modern fishing fleets tie up facing the typical restaurants famous for their fish cuisine. In the canal port, planned by Leonardo Da Vinci, you can admire the Maritime Museum, a practically unique and very beautiful collection of ancient boats, whose multi-coloured sails and hulls recount the story of centuries of fishing and maritime traffic.

Un unico grande villaggio
La costa di Cesenatico ha un'estensione di 7 chilometri e il litorale è largo dai 100 ai 200 metri e la sabbia è dorata, fine ed omogenea. Il fondale di soffice sabbia, senza buche o correnti, degrada lentamente, rendendo questa zona particolarmente adatta per i più piccoli e per i "principianti" del mare, con una temperatura che è già mite a maggio e ancora piacevole per tutto settembre.
Proverbiale vanto della Riviera Adriatica è l'organizzazione della spiaggia, che ha permesso di creare, lungo tutta la costa, un unico grande villaggio balneare ideale per incontrarsi, fare nuove amicizie, ascoltare musica, divertirsi e fare attività sportiva. |

A large holiday village
The coastline of Cesenatico extends for 7 kilometres. The beach is between 100 and 200 metres wide, with fine flat golden sands. The temperature is already mild in May and remains pleasant through September. The sea-bed is soft, without holes or currents and is gently sloped, making the area especially suited to children and "beginners".
One of the major features of the Adriatic Riviera is the way the beaches are organised, creating along the coast a single large holiday village, the ideal place for meeting people, making new friends, listening to music, having fun and practising sport.

Ein großer Badeort
Der von Cesenatico Küstenabschnitt ist 7 km lange. Der Strand ist 100 bis 200 Meter breit, der feine Sand goldenfarbig, die Temperatur bereits im Mai mild und auch im September noch angenehm warm. Der weiche Meeresgrund ohne Löcher und Strömungen fällt nur ganz sanft ab und gerade deswegen eignet er sich besonders für die Kleinsten und für alle diejenigen, die mit dem Meer noch nicht so vertraut sind.
Besonders stolz ist man hier an der adriatischen Riviera auf die Strandorganisation. Die Urlauber erwartet ein einziger, der Küste entlang, der ideal ist um sich zu treffen, neue Freundschaften zu schließen, sich mit Musik berieseln zu lassen und Sport zu treiben. |

Sport e natura
Lo sport a Cesenatico è favorito dalle speciali caratteristiche che presenta il suo territorio: mare, spiaggia ed entroterra collinare favoriscono lo sviluppo di diverse discipline. La cordialità e l'ospitalità tipica di questa zona fanno il resto. In poche parole, vacanze si, purché si giochi a calcetto, a beach volley, a basket, si facciano nuotate, si pedali nell'entroterra collinare o si pratichi la vela a bordo di catamarani e derive. Turismo sportivo vuole dire anche sport per tutti , per i più esperti ma anche per i principianti, per le famiglie e per tutti gli appassionati. Sport significa infatti salute e benessere, ma anche amore per la natura e divertimento.
Ma un altro motivo d'orgoglio per tutti i cesenaticensi sono le ampie zone verdi, che la città mette a disposizione degli abitanti e dei turisti. Le principali sono i parchi urbani situati nelle due sponde di Cesenatico, Levante e Ponente, ideali per chi vuole crogiolarsi al sole senza la confusione della spiaggia.

The friendliness and hospitality for which this area is renowned do the rest. In other words, a holiday involving five-a-side soccer, beach volleyball, basketball, swimming, cycling in the hinterland or sailing on catamarans or keeled boats. But sports tourism also means sport for everyone , for experts and beginners alike, for families and for all enthusiasts. Sport means health and well-being, but also a love of nature and having fun.
But another source of pride for all the people of Cesenatico are the numerous green areas which the town puts at the disposal of inhabitants and guests. The most important of these are the town parks located at either end of Cesenatico, West and East, the ideal places for basking in the sun without the confusion of the beach.

Der Sport wird in Cesenatico durch die speziellen Eigenschaften der Umgebung begünstigt: das Meer, der Strand und das Hinterland mit seinen Hügeln eignen sich hervorragend für die verschiedensten Sportarten. Und dazu kommt dann auch noch die typische Herzlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft. In anderen Worten, man ist zwar auf Urlaub, muss aber keineswegs auf den Lieblingssport verzichten, sei es nun Kleinfußball, Beach Volleyball, Basketball, Schwimmen, mit dem Fahrrad bis in die Hügeln des Hinterlands. Aber Sporttourismus bedeutet auch Sport für alle , sondern auch für Anfänger, Familien und überhaupt alle Sportfans.
Aber die Bevölkerung von Cesenatico darf auch noch auf etwas anderes stolz sein, nämlich auf die umfangreichen Grünzonen, die die Stadt den Einwohnern und Gästen zur Verfügung stellt. Besonders beliebt sind die beiden städtischen Parks am östlichen und westlichen Ufer Cesenaticos, wo man in aller Ruhe die Sonne genießen kann, ist es doch hier bedeutend ruhiger als am Strand.
